In geology and related fields, a stratum (plural: strata) is a layer of sedimentary rock or soil with internally consistent characteristics that distinguish it from other layers. Lithostratigraphy investigates the stacking of various strata’s characteristics onto one another and the facies variation known as horizontal sedimentary variety. The colour is actually how the electromagnetic waves falling into the visible domain are produced by sense, which in addition to the waves’ spectral  dispersion (physical properties), is very much dependent on the function of the eye and the brain and, in fact, on psychological phenomena. The perception of colour is therefore a personal experience, which can’t be measured objectively; so any investigation takes us from physics, through biology and psychology right through to the fine arts.

Celler Masroig - Rojalet wines

All of the above is thanks to this product range, Rojalet (sounds similar to red in Catalan), which refers to the red vineyard area where the grapes grow and whose minerality can influence the taste of wine. I deliberately didn’t use the word terroir concerning the label, because in my opinion that goes beyond its geographical location and the structure of the soil.
