The special lot this year is Tokaji Aszú 5 puttonyos 1963 which Tokaj Wine Committee president Gabriella Mészáros wrote on tasting, “Impeccable balance, no trace of tiredness. Sugar does not dominate the flavours, so there is plenty of opportunity for its spiciness, fruitiness and restrained minerality. Exciting and elegant wine with smooth texture, long finish. Stored appropriately this wine still has potential.” Experience an aged Tokaji Aszú – and imagine the potential in the young ones!
