The nose is a little elusive at the beginning, followed by cocoa, dried peach, chocolate, apricot and fruit loaf. Full bodied, smooth acidity with the balance perhaps tipped a little towards sugar. Flavours of apricot jam, honey, brioche, Christmas biscuits, honeycomb, overripe pear and pollen with some brittle towards the finish. Deep and rich wine, although the acidity could perhaps be a little more elegant. Long finish.
