Are you unsure about what you want to do after High School, but know that it should be something connected with beverages, wine or plants?

The new "Pre-Study" project prepares prospective international students for a German-taught degree course at Geisenheim University starting in the winter semester. They offer an internationally renowned University but with a personal flair. The education there is practically-oriented and guarantees excellent studying conditions. Students and scientists learn and research together under one roof. With the merging of the Research Center and the University Faculty of Geisenheim in January 2013, both research and teaching have now officially come together.

Prominent experts have always studied and carried out research at the Hochschule Geisenheim, previously known as the Hessen Teaching Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture. Hermann Müller Thurgau, who, in 1888  bred the vine variety, Müller Thurgau, there; Julius Koch, who introduced the first bottled orange juice (‘Hohes C’)  to Germany in the 1950s,  and later created the Multivitamin Juice, ‘Dr Koch’s Trink 10.

The Pre-Study program is part of "Potenziale nutzen", a joint program of the Hessische Hochschulen and is supported by grants from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the State of Hessen.
